What is Co-Star?
Co-Star is LadderStar's AI practice partner. You talk to it by voice or text, it sets up a practice, plays the other person, and reviews how it went.
What can I practice?
Anything you'll say out loud: job interviews, raises, sales pitches, presentations, toasts, hard conversations, small talk. The library has ready-made ones.
Is it free?
Yes. Without an account you get one short practice a day. A free account gives you daily practice time, shown as a meter, plus history and a skill profile.
Is my voice recorded?
No. Audio is streamed to our AI provider to understand you and reply, and LadderStar doesn't store it. We keep the text transcript of practice sessions so you can see your review.
How honest is the review?
It quotes your own words, names what worked, and picks the one change that would help most. It's practice feedback from an AI, not a professional assessment.
What does the skill profile remember?
Short plain notes about your speaking: strengths, things you're working on, patterns and goals. You can edit, pin, delete, pause learning or undo an update.
What languages does it speak?
LadderStar is available in 21 languages and picks yours from your browser. Co-Star follows the language you speak.
Can I change Co-Star's voice?
Yes. With a free account, choose a voice in Settings.
